Here I present suggestions from inspiring people, companies ,and organizations that are trying to change the world one step at a time.

1.  Use less paper Use less paper and save money by sending only electronic invitations for your 2012 parties and celebrations using environmentally friendly party planning services as Eco-Friendly Party™

2. Get fit while diminishing your transportation carbon footprint by walking everywhere!! Donna Lubrano confirms that it was an easy transition to get fit that was good for her health and the health of the planet.

3. Use reusable items instead of disposables  that not only help the environment, but also save you a significant amount of money over the long term after you make an initial upfront investment affirms money expert Andrew Schrage from Money CrashersYou can replace paper towels with cloth towel, disposable diapers with cloth diapers.

4. Stop Drinking Bottled Water Instead use reusable water bottles from materials like stainless steel or aluminum that are not likely to degrade over time. as ThePlastiki.com affirms remember that our appetite for one-time-use plastics is now hurtling back towards us as an ever-growing and devastating set of plastic fingerprints on our natural world.

5. Give up Plastic shopping bags by using only reusable shopping bags, no more excuses and no more forget them.

6. Green your home  by replacing all the toxic cleaning products in ones one with Eco-friendly cleaning products as Earth Friendly Products as gives you an honest-to-goodness, power-packed clean – without toxins, petrochemicals, bleach, ammonia, phosphates or other harmful ingredients.

7.  Pack waste-free lunches for your kids ! As the www.wastefreelunches.org recommends that prevents tons of food and packaging waste from entering our landfills and incinerators. You can use reusable containers instead as Laptop Lunches

8. Eat your leftovers or compost food waste Did you know that 30% of what we throw away in landfills is organic waste that can composted and returned back to soil to naturally fertilize the earth? The organics that get sent to landfills can create methane gas! And of course, Bio Bags are compostable bags that can correct that organic waste for composting!

9.  Avoid unwanted gifts giving or getting unwanted gifts can easily end up as trash around the house or in a landfill.  Use Cash Gifts, Wish list or Registries services for all your celebrations.

I love these ideas. I am a huge advocate of cloth diapers & reusable shopping bags! I wish I lives where walking could be an option. Sadly, walking would be unrealistic in my rural area. I found you on MBC and happy to be your newest follower.
