About Monica Sanchez
Mother of 2 that are my inspiration to go Green and live a healthier life style. I promote healthier and Eco-conscious Parties in a simple, fun and educational way. My mantra "be the change you want to see in the world"
We definitely try to use washable plates, glasses, utensils and serving trays, keep recycling bins out for everything else, and have as many outdoor parties as the weather will allow to cut down on energy use. Thanks!
Like most no disposable here. If decorating I always look for items that can be reused, so if it’s a birthday I try not to buy anything with numbers so it can be used again and again.
Instead of using disposable cutlery, plates and glasses, we use the ‘real thing’. It keeps the styrofoam, which is not good for the environment, out of the landfills. We have a new energy efficient dishwasher which is even better.
Frankly, I don’t understand why anyone uses disposable cups, plates or cutlery… I’ve always used glass plates and cups and real silverware and especially for special occassions like Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter. It adds to the aura and denotes a “specialness” to the gathering. Thanks!
I eco my party by using regular dishes and utensils and washing them with environmentally responsible dish soap of course . I also try to buy local and organic products as much as possible (using reusable grocery bags) and reuse or recycle everything else as necessary. We try very hard to be environmentally responsible in this house and plan to teach our son the same as he gets older

I don’t use paper plates, napkins, or plastic utensils. For utensils, I bought a few extra sets cheap at Walmart that I use just for entertaining.

OK I do pretty much the same – no disposable items!

We recycle as much as we can after any family gathering. I’m big on re-using gift wrap, bows and bags.
We use real plates, bowls, etc & do not use plastic forks, spoons.
We use reusable things. Our own dishes. Cloth napkins and serve drinks in cups instead of buying cans of pop or bottles of water.
