Organic Food for Parties

Eco-Friendly Party™'s wants to promote the benefits and the importance of Organic Foods and make it accessible to you when you are planning a party. Do you know how many parties are thrown every year just in the USA? Just think in all the birthdays, holydays and summer parties you and your kids attend. Sounds lots of fun however, the fun ends when we surrender to the idea of all those important days of our lives we are predestinated to eat unhealthy food that is contaminated and poison for our bodies. At the same time, buying all this food supports the wrong companies that produce them which don't care about the costumer or the environment.

But if we have an easy access to better choices we do better, planning an Organic menu for your next celebration offers a healthy menu to our family and friends; support farmers, organizations and business that are working very hard to do better for you and for the planet.

Organic Food, What does it really mean?:

The Organic food definition goes beyond of natural food and cares about the whole process. How food is been produce, handle and process. Organically produced foods are clean of antibiotics, synthetic hormones, additives, preservatives, swage sludge, irradiation and has not been Genetically Modified (GMos).

The definition of Organic Food by the USDA (US Department of Agriculture): "Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation. Before a product can be labeled 'organic,' a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too." http://www.ams.usda.gov/nop/Consumers/brochure.html
